Nominations are in for the Academy Awards and it’s interesting to see that a lot of independent films are nominated. C.R.A.Z.Y. was not selected but March Of The Penguins and Mrs. Henderson Presents are there.

The Picture This Film Festival is taking place Feb. 6 – 10, 2006 at the Rozsa Center at the U of C. Here’s a link to the site- there’s a faq there that explains what it’s about.
Genie Nominations January 26, 2006

The nominations are in for the 2006 Genie Awards. Three of the nominated films are of special interest to CFG.
C.R.A.Z.Y., is nominated for 12 Genies. Click here for the list of nominations. It’s also Canada’s official submission for the best foreign-film Oscar this year.
WATER, is nominated for 9 Genies. Here’s a link with details
And Bernard Starlight who played Huey Bigstone in Hank Williams First Nation is nominated for Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role.
